Ashley R. Kirkham

Ashley Kirkham's practice consists of defending workers’ compensation claims and Medicare compliance.  Her practice focuses on representing insurance carriers and local businesses against workers' compensation claims and working with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services to ensure workers’ compensation and civil suit settlements comply with federal law and protect Medicare and Medicaid’s interests so that all parties to the settlement avoid harsh penalties.

She has been certified by the International Commission on Health Care Certification as a Medicare Set-aside Consultant Certified (MSCC).

Ashley was raised in Sarasota, Florida, but found her true home in South Carolina after attending Clemson University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in political science. Ashley received her J.D. from Florida State University, magna cum laude, in 2010. Ashley was a member of the College of Law's moot court team, and she won the professionalism award at the Charleston School of Law moot court competition. In her last semester of law school, Ashley interned with Judge Bradford L. Thomas of Florida's First District Court of Appeals. Ashley clerked with both Turner Padget in Columbia, South Carolina and Womble Carlyle in Greenville, South Carolina during law school, and served as a teaching assistant for Legal Writing and Research.

“I enjoy working with my clients to analyze and defend every aspect of a claim to receive a positive outcome in an efficient manner.  Working with adjusters and employers throughout the state makes me excited to come to work day in and day out.”
